The challenge
A fashion tour that has run for years needs a genuinely new reason to be photographed. Introducing robotics to a live couture runway meant the technology had to hold its own next to FDCI designers and celebrity showstoppers — present enough to be the headline, disciplined enough never to upstage a garment.
Our approach
We treated the robots as cast, not props. Their walk patterns were blocked against the designer line-up and locked into the same cue stack as lighting and LED content, so every entry hit on the beat. A deep-ocean LED environment gave the ramp a cinematic ground, keeping the black-and-silver couture and the brushed-metal robots reading cleanly against it under show lighting.
The outcome
The robot walk became the tour’s most shared visual moment, and the show ran without a single missed technical cue across the celebrity finale, designer segments and the group showstopper walk.
